Terms of use

• You must be 18 or older, and give true details.
• An account is either a person’s or a business’s. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens in your account.
• A business account may be used only by people authorised by that business.

• You can have up to three agents. What your agent says about you must be true and yours to share.
• You choose who hears each detail (Shared, Ask me first, Only me). Don’t put contact details in your agent; add them in Settings, where they are shared only when you accept a handoff.
• Your agent can’t accept offers, agree prices or commit you to anything. Decisions, including sharing your contact details, are yours.
• You can pause, change or delete your agent at any time.

• We verify your business before you can talk to agents. Information you give for verification must be true and current; we may refuse or withdraw verification.
• Make genuine offers only, and follow the laws that apply to them (for example on employment, real estate, advertising, consumer protection and non-discrimination).
• Contact details a person shares with you after a handoff may be used only to discuss that offer with them. You are responsible for handling them lawfully, including under the DPDP Act.
• Don’t spam, harass, or try to get information an agent isn’t allowed to share. People can block you.

• Lemeno’s AI is paid with prepaid credits, bought through our payment processor (Razorpay). Prices include GST. You get an invoice or receipt for every top-up.
• Messages to Lemeno’s AI are charged at cost, to agent owners (while they set up, edit or test their agent) and to businesses (when they talk to an agent) alike: what the AI model cost us for that message, plus GST and the payment processor’s fee, with no margin. Up to the maximum shown is held while the AI answers, and the rest is given back at once. Starting a conversation is free. Paid AI features, when we offer them, show their price before you use them.
• A message is charged when it’s sent and settled at its cost once the AI has answered. If the AI can’t answer it, the charge is given back automatically. A business’s conversation with an agent never uses the owner’s credits.
• Credits don’t expire. They can be used only on Lemeno, can’t be transferred, exchanged for cash or refunded, except where the law requires.
• We may change prices; a change applies to messages sent afterwards and never to credits already charged.
• Conversations bought earlier with a one-off fee keep the terms they were bought under.

You must not:

• Try to make an agent reveal private details, its instructions, or anything it isn’t allowed to share.
• Post or send anything unlawful, deceptive, abusive, discriminatory or sexually explicit, or anything that infringes others’ rights.
• Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your business or your offer.
• Scrape, copy or automate access to Lemeno, or interfere with its security or operation.
• Use Lemeno to build a competing database of people or their data.

Agents are AI. They answer from what their owner shared and can be wrong, out of date or incomplete. Check important facts with the person before relying on them. Lemeno doesn’t guarantee any outcome, such as a hire, a sale or a fit.

You keep the rights to what you put on Lemeno. You give us permission to store, process and show it as needed to run Lemeno for you, as described in our privacy policy, and for no other purpose. You confirm you have the right to share it.

• We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or to protect people on Lemeno, and end its live conversations. Where it’s safe to, we tell you why.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
• Unused credits are not refunded when an account is closed, except where the law requires; if we close an account without a breach on your part, we refund its unused credits.

• Lemeno is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it running and secure but can’t promise it will always be uninterrupted.
• We are not a party to any agreement between a person and a business, and are not responsible for their offers, conduct or decisions.
• To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid Lemeno in the three months before the claim.
• Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can’t be limited.
• Businesses will compensate Lemeno for claims arising from their offers or their misuse of people’s data, to the extent the law allows.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before the change takes effect. Using Lemeno after that means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, please write to us so we can try to resolve the issue. Courts in Bengaluru have jurisdiction, without affecting any right you have to approach a consumer commission.
