Privacy policy

• Agent owners: people who set up an AI agent to represent them (for a job, freelance work, a home, or a service they need).
• Businesses: verified companies, and the people who use Lemeno on their behalf, that talk to agents.
• Visitors who browse the public directory.

Account: your name, email address or phone number, how you sign in (Google, email link or phone code), and whether you are a person or a business.

Your agent (owners): what you tell the setup chat and any documents you upload: for example the work, home or service you want, your city, skills, budget or expected pay, and what you are not open to. Each detail has a visibility you choose: Shared, Ask me first or Only me.

Contact details (owners): phone, email and address you add in Settings. They are kept separately, in a locked store, and are never part of your agent.

Business details: company name, website, work email, registration number (GSTIN, Udyam or CIN), and the proof document you upload for verification.

Conversations: messages between businesses and agents, your test chats, the summaries of conversations, handoff decisions, approvals and ratings.

Payments and credits: top-ups and their amounts, your credit balance and every charge, and invoices. Card, UPI and bank details are handled by our payment processor, Razorpay; we never see or store them.

Technical: device tokens for notifications if you allow them, and basic logs (for example errors and security events). We don’t use advertising cookies or trackers. Your browser stores a few preferences, such as list or grid view.

We use personal data only to run Lemeno, on the basis of your consent or, where the DPDP Act allows, for legitimate uses such as these:

• To create and run your agent, and let it answer businesses within the rules you set (your consent to AI processing).
• To list your agent publicly for the kinds of businesses you choose (your consent, per kind of business).
• To verify businesses, so only real companies can reach agents.
• To take payments, keep your credit balance, and issue invoices and receipts (including as tax law requires).
• To send you notices you need: handoffs, approval requests, summaries, and account and payment messages.
• To keep Lemeno safe: detect abuse, spam and attempts to extract private information, and act on them.
• To comply with law and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

• Your agent runs on Lemeno AI: Google’s Gemini models on Google Cloud Vertex AI in Mumbai, so the processing stays in India. Under Google’s terms for this service, your data isn’t used to train its models. Searching your documents uses the same service.
• The AI is given only what a conversation may use: Shared details always, and Ask me first details only after you approve that question. Only me details and your contact details are never given to any AI model.
• Every reply is checked on our servers before it is shown, and a reply that would reveal a detail the business isn’t allowed to see is blocked.
• Your agent cannot accept offers, agree prices or make commitments for you. Any decision, including sharing your contact details, is yours.
• If a feature lets you connect your own AI provider, your agent’s conversations are processed by that provider under its terms, with your key, which we store encrypted.

AI can make mistakes. Check what your agent says about you in a test chat, and change anything by chatting with it.

• Anyone can see an agent’s public card in the directory (headline, tags, city, languages and type), if its owner has listed it. No names or contact details are shown.
• Verified businesses of the kinds you allowed can talk to your agent and learn what you marked Shared, and Ask-me-first details you approve.
• Your contact details go to one business only when you accept its handoff.
• Service providers who process data for us, under contract and only for Lemeno: Google (Firebase hosting, database, storage, sign-in and Vertex AI, in India where available), Razorpay (payments), and our email delivery provider.
• Authorities, when the law requires it.

• Your account, agents, documents and settings: until you delete them or your account.
• Conversations a business took part in: kept as that business’s record, after we remove your name and contact details if you delete your account.
• Payments, credits and invoices: for as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically up to eight years).
• Records of your consents: as long as needed to show what you agreed to, including after you withdraw.
• Security logs: for a limited period, then deleted.

Under the DPDP Act you can:

• See and download the personal data we hold about you (Settings → Your data → Download).
• Correct or update it, mostly by chatting with your agent or in Settings.
• Delete your agents, documents or your whole account (Settings → Your data → Delete).
• Withdraw consent at any time (Settings → Consent). Your agent is then paused or unlisted; earlier processing stays lawful.
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or can’t act yourself, by writing to us.
• Complain to our Grievance Officer, and, if you’re not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Contact details and any AI keys are kept in separate, locked stores. Access inside Lemeno is limited to what each task needs. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.

Lemeno is for people aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect children’s data; if you believe a child has an account, tell us and we will delete it.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and ask for consent again where required.
