About Lemeno
We build AI for how businesses actually run here — where customers message in three languages at once, the real system of record is a spreadsheet, and the accounting lives in Tally.
What we think
Most AI money in small businesses is wasted
Not because the technology is weak, but because it gets bought as tools rather than outcomes. Six subscriptions arrive, two people try them, nothing changes, and the budget is gone before anyone has automated a single real workflow.
The model is never the hard part
The hard parts are getting at data that lives in a WhatsApp thread and a decade-old spreadsheet, and finding someone who still owns the thing a month after launch. Projects die on those two, not on model quality.
Small businesses have the better economics
When one person spends half their week on repetitive work, removing it is a proportionally larger win than anything a large company gets from the same spend. The tooling finally costs little enough for that maths to work.
How customers find businesses is genuinely changing
People increasingly ask an assistant instead of searching, and the assistant increasingly completes the booking. A business that is not readable in that conversation is not in the running, and almost none of them are readable yet.
Lock-in is a business model, not a technical necessity
Software gets built to be hard to leave because that is profitable, not because it has to be. We would rather be kept because the work is good, so we build in your accounts and hand over documentation on request.
What we know
How Indian customers actually message
Not clean English sentences. Hinglish, transliterated Kannada, a voice note, a photo of a handwritten list, three messages in a row before you answer the first. Systems built for tidy input fail here on day one.
The software an Indian SMB really runs
Tally rather than a modern ERP. WhatsApp rather than a helpdesk. UPI, GST invoices, a POS from a local vendor, and a spreadsheet that is the real system of record. We build for that stack, not the one in the demo video.
The machine-readable web
Publishing a business so an assistant can read it, trust it, and call a booking action against it — structured data, action contracts, live availability, and the transactional care that keeps two assistants from taking the same slot.
Keeping it working after the demo
Guardrails, escalation paths, logging, and loud failure. Anyone can produce an impressive first conversation; the engineering is in the hundredth one, when the input is strange and a real customer is waiting.
What we don't do
- Generic web design or brand work — we build the ready-made suite or custom AI, not brochureware.
- Reselling licences. If an off-the-shelf tool solves your problem, we will name it and take no cut.
- Clinical, legal or financial advice systems. We build the administrative work around those professions, never the advice itself.
- Projects where AI is not the right answer. If a spreadsheet, a clearer process or one more person wins, we say so on the first call.
- Anything we cannot explain to you. If we cannot describe how it works in a sentence you understand, we should not be shipping it.
